FAQ

Multilayer Sputter film is made using advanced metal sputtering technology, where microscopic layers of metal particles are coated onto the film. It provides superior heat rejection (TSER), excellent clarity, and long-lasting performance.

Nano Ceramic film, on the other hand, uses non-metallic ceramic particles to block heat and UV rays. It offers great durability and signal-friendly performance (won’t interfere with GPS or SmartTAG), but generally has slightly lower heat rejection compared to premium sputter films.
These are key performance indicators for tint films:

- IRR (Infrared Rejection): Measures how well the film blocks heat-producing infrared rays.

- TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejected): Indicates total heat rejection from sunlight — the higher, the cooler your cabin stays.

- UVR (Ultraviolet Rejection): Shows protection against harmful UV rays that cause skin damage and fading of interiors.

In general, higher percentages mean better protection and comfort.
- Mil refers to the thickness of the film. 1 mil = 25 microns (µm).

- Layers describe how many coating or material layers make up the tint film (e.g., dye, metal, adhesive, UV layer).

- Ply means the number of combined film sheets — usually 1-ply (single layer) or 2-ply (double layer).

Thicker, multi-layer films often provide better durability and protection, but clarity and flexibility also depend on the film quality.
Sputter films generally offer higher heat rejection, better color stability, and longer lifespan compared to standard Nano Ceramic tints.

They also maintain clear visibility without darkening the glass too much. However, Nano Ceramic remains popular for its non-metallic, signal-friendly properties and balanced performance at a more affordable cost.
Nano Ceramic coatings use SiO₂ (silicon dioxide) to create a strong, glass-like protective layer that enhances gloss, water repellency, and durability.

Nano Graphene coatings include graphene oxide (a carbon-based compound) that provides better heat resistance, anti-static properties, and smoother surface finish.
In short — graphene is a next-generation version of ceramic, offering stronger protection and longer durability.
Our Nano Ceramic coatings typically last 1 to 5 years, depending on product quality, maintenance, and washing habits.
Regular cleaning, pH-neutral shampoo, and avoiding abrasive polish can help maintain gloss and hydrophobic performance for the full warranty period.
- Car Tinting: Up to 10 years, covering bubbles, color fading, and performance drop (within 10–20% tolerance).

- Coating: 1–5 years depending on product type.

- PPF: 1–8 years, depending on film brand and quality.

- Wrapping: 1–3 years, depending on material and usage.
Partial installations (e.g., roof or bumper only) may have limited or no warranty.
Nano Ceramic and Carbon films are non-metallic, meaning they don’t block electronic signals.
However, metal-based or sputter films may slightly reduce SmartTAG sensitivity. If you frequently use SmartTAG, we recommend non-metallic ceramic tint on the front windscreen.
It’s best to wait at least 5–7 days after coating or wrapping before the first wash.
This allows the coating to fully cure or the wrap adhesive to set properly. Always use pH-neutral shampoo and avoid high-pressure washing directly on edges or corners.
